  2. What does "Jesus Son of God" mean?

My dear friend, you may assume that Christians believe that God had a physical relationship with Virgin Mary and therefore call Jesus the Son of God. Is this statement true or false?

If you read the Bible, there is no mention of this statement. Then, what does it mean if we say: “Jesus Son of God”?

Let me explain with examples. If you are Egyptian, the people in the Middle East call you “the Son of the Nile.” Does this mean that Egypt married the Nile and gave birth to you? And if you are from Palestine, they call you “the Son of Palestine.”

This term is a spiritual term .The relationship between God and Jesus is absolutely a spiritual relationship. He is “ibn Allah” not “walad Allah”.

In Luke 1:35 the Bible describes this “Son of God” to Mary: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, the child to be born will be called Holy ,the Son of God”

Jesus came in the flesh to carry our sins, to cleanse us from all the dirt of the world. Jesus the Son of God is pure and had no sin in his life. Moreover, Jesus the Son of God has the power to do many miracles, because he is from above.

“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Philippians 2:8-11.
