Did Jesus claim to be the Son of God?

Yes, Jesus stated that very clearly.

Mark 14: 61 states, “Again the high priest asked him. ‘Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?’ ‘I am,’ said Jesus.”

John 3:16-17: Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

In John 3:35-36 Jesus said, “The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”

In Mathew 11:27 Jesus claims, “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

John 17:1-5: Jesus said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.”

God’s testimony about Jesus

Luke 3:21-22: “When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: ‘You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.’”

Psalm 2:7: “I will proclaim the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my Son.”

The Angel’s testimony:

Luke 1:30-32: “But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High...’”

Evil Spirits’ testimony:

Mark 3:11: “Whenever the evil spirits saw him they fell down before him and cried out, ‘you are the Son of God ...’”

Mark 5:6-8: “When he saw Jesus from a distance he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. He shouted at the top of his voice, ‘What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?’”

The Roman soldiers’ testimony:

Mark 15: 39: “And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, ‘Surely this man was the Son of God.’”

The disciples’ testimony:

Jesus’ disciples lived, walked, talked, listened to him and saw him do many miracles. Peter said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Mathew 16:16)
